In this project, we will develop and pilot tests measuring peripheral and central hearing function in people with primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Focus will be given to non-verbal tests (e.g. tone/ lexical stress perception) that have most potential to be applicable across languages. This will generate new data on the auditory profiles of different PPA syndromes and potentially yield new cognitive auditory biomarkers that can help detect and stratify PPA variants internationally.
