Inequities of linguistic research on brain health (in Spanish)

One of the greatest public health challenges of our era is the rise of neurodegenerative disorders. Throughout the world, diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and frontotemporal dementia have high rates of disability and mortality. These conditions affect some 55 million people today, a figure that will double or triple by 2050. This growth will be particularly marked in middle- and low-income countries, where risk factors have a greater impact and conventional clinical approaches are less accessible.
