This proposal will develop and pilot the Cognitive Assessment for Tagalog Speakers (CATS), a neuropsychological battery for ADRD in Filipino American Tagalog (Filipino) speakers. CATS will include speech/language measures specifically constructed for Tagalog linguistic features. This project will generate novel data to inform current diagnostic criteria, which is currently based on deficits in English speakers. It will also give insight into neuroanatomical correlates of speech/language from an understudied language.
